Marketing Code Authority

Considering the provision in terms of section 18C of the Medicines and Related Substances Act No 101 of 1965, as amended, for an enforceable Code of Practice, the Marketing Code Authority (MCA) intends that the MCA Code of Practice be acknowledged as such. The health products trade associations have adopted the MCA Code to signify the industries commitment to ensure that the marketing of health products to healthcare professionals and to the public is carried out in a responsible, ethical and professional manner which is based on practical and scientifically validated information.
